Program Overview
The "Majalis al-Qira'at al-Qur'aniyah" program is an educational initiative designed for international students at the Islamic Missions. The program focuses on teaching students the Quranic recitations.
Program Details
The program is implemented by a select group of members from the Azhar's Quranic Review Committee, under the supervision of Dr. Nazir Ayad, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy, Dr. Hassan Khalil, Deputy Secretary for Islamic Culture, and Sheikh Khaled Shaltut, Secretary-General of the Higher Committee for Islamic Da'wah. The program is conducted in cooperation with the Islamic Missions sector.
Program Structure
The program consists of several stages, with the first stage focusing on the recitations of Asim and Nafi (with their two narrations). Subsequent stages cover the remaining recitations. Upon completing each recitation, students are awarded an Ijazah.
Participation and Eligibility
52 students from various nationalities are enrolled in the program, with 32 students passing the initial exams. The breakdown of students who passed the exams is as follows:
- 15 students for the Hafs narration from Asim
- 6 students for the Shu'bah narration from Asim
- 11 students for the Warsh narration from Nafi
Program Administration
The program is overseen by the Director of the Islamic Missions sector, who has instructed all staff members to facilitate the students' participation and remove any obstacles they may encounter.
