University Program Details

The Supreme Council of Al-Azhar, in its session numbered (260), held on Wednesday, 24th of Jumada Al-Awwal 1440 AH, 30th of January 2019, approved several important decisions. These decisions include the approval of the establishment of Master's and Doctoral degrees in the Department of General Internal Medicine, with specializations in:

• Immunity and Allergy
• Kidney, Gastrointestinal, and Liver Diseases
• Endocrine Glands, excluding the Faculty of Medicine for Girls in Cairo, as this specialization already exists there. These degrees will be offered at all faculties of medicine, Al-Azhar University (for both males and females), with the approval of their study plans.

Program Structure

The council also approved the renaming of the Department of Natural Medicine, Rheumatism, and Medical Rehabilitation to the Department of Rheumatism and Medical Rehabilitation at all faculties of medicine (for both males and females) at Al-Azhar University, following the example of other universities.

Doctoral Program in Vascular Surgery

The Supreme Council of Al-Azhar approved the academic and training curriculum and study plan for the Doctor of Science (Ph.D.) degree in Vascular Surgery at the faculties of medicine (for both males and females) at Al-Azhar University.
