It began its activities in 2004 as the University Institute for Medical Specializations and later added the name "Al-Hikma College" in 2007 for technical and administrative specializations.

Program Mission
The mission of the Doctor of Pharmacy program is to prepare a clinically qualified pharmacist to serve patients in the community through a stimulating educational and training environment, contributing to the enhancement of pharmaceutical care, scientific research, and sustainable development.
Program Objectives
The objectives of the Doctor of Pharmacy program are:
- To prepare a clinically qualified pharmacist who is scientifically and practically capable of serving patients in the community, committed to professional ethics, and able to compete in the local and regional job market.
- To provide students with the basic and advanced knowledge and skills necessary in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, especially clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice.
- To develop students' skills in analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving, and professional continuous education to enhance the status of the Doctor of Pharmacy in facing professional challenges and making sound decisions in the field of pharmacy.
- To enhance students' training and research skills, as well as technological skills in various pharmaceutical fields and healthcare, and drug development.
- To develop students' abilities to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with physicians and other healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care and pharmaceutical education to community members.

The mission of the Department of Pharmacy is to provide high-quality educational and research programs in pharmaceutical sciences to qualify graduates who can compete locally and regionally and contribute to serving the community through a stimulating educational environment and distinguished academic competencies.

The objectives of the Department of Pharmacy are:

- To equip students with the basic and advanced practical skills necessary to practice the pharmacy profession in its various fields according to international pharmaceutical standards.
