Master of Clinical Speech-Language Pathology Program

The Master of Clinical Speech-Language Pathology program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles of voice production and disorders.

Program Description

The program focuses on the basic physical and physiological principles of understanding typical voice production, including professional and nonprofessional voice production, impaired voice production, vocal anatomy, and voice classification. Students will also learn about the control of loudness, pitch, register, and quality, as well as the efficient and inefficient use of voice.

• Course Title: Principles of Voice Production and Disorders (MSP 509)
• Description: The course covers the application of methods of intervention in the development, training, and rehabilitation of vocal behavior, including motor learning, efficacy of treatment strategies, and factors affecting compliance with recommended therapy.
• Instrumentation for voice analysis and synthesis is also included in the course.
