This program includes a course, MRM 505: Financial Management of Research, which provides an analysis of clinical research financial regulations, budget process, clinical trial revenue cycle, and patient remuneration. The course emphasizes the importance of integrating investigators and study teams into the financial components of a study to mitigate risks associated with non-compliance with research billing regulations.
Course Objectives
Students will understand and apply concepts of financial management, decision-making, and quality assessment to health systems. They will also develop broad policy statements concerning research management and discuss strategies for developing operational efficiencies and establishing communication channels to enhance sponsor reimbursements.
