It focuses on exposing students to upcoming web-related technologies and providing practical experience and discussion of the practical implications of these emerging fields. The course allows students to gain a deep understanding of new web technologies, services, and business models in fixed and mobile networks. Topics covered include XML and its technologies, web services, Rich Internet Applications (RIA), hypertext systems, and active media, as well as web application frameworks and some advanced topics in emerging web technologies such as cloud computing and mobile computing. By the end of the course, students will be able to express issues related to these technologies and implement more advanced systems on the internet.
