Marketing and Digital Media Program
The Marketing and Digital Media program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of marketing principles, digital media, and their applications in the business world.
Program Overview
The program consists of 128 credit hours, divided into four years of study. The curriculum includes a range of courses in marketing, digital media, business, and general education.
Course Structure
The program is structured as follows:
- Preparatory Year: Students take courses in enhanced learning, communication skills, writing skills, and introductory algebra.
- Freshman Year: Students take courses in introduction to Islamic culture, written communications, finite math for business, professional development, and leadership and teamwork.
- Sophomore Year: Students take courses in fundamentals of financial accounting, managerial accounting, linguistic communication skills, principles of management, and introduction to macroeconomics and microeconomics.
- Junior Year: Students take courses in learning outcome assessment, marketing principles, consumer behavior, digital and social media, brand management, and market research.
- Senior Year: Students take courses in entrepreneurship, public relations, advertising management, media strategy and metrics, and strategic management.

Prerequisites and Restrictions
All prerequisite courses must be successfully completed before taking a course that requires the prerequisite. Courses with a grade of D or F do not satisfy prerequisite requirements. Junior and senior class restrictions apply to all courses, and students must have earned 60 hours towards their degree before taking junior-level courses and 90 hours before taking senior-level courses.
Internship
Students are required to complete an internship of 3 credit hours, which involves 8 weeks (320 hours) of full-time work, to be taken at the end of the junior year (summer before graduation) with department approval.
