Program Overview

Master's in Education Measurement and Evaluation

The Master's in Education Measurement and Evaluation program was established in 1434H, pursuant to the decision of the Minister of Higher Education, letter No. 1558/A, dated 22/8/1434H. The program is affiliated with the Department of Education and Psychology at the College of Education and Arts. The program plan includes theoretical and practical courses, field training, and a research project. The program aims to graduate students with high competence in the field of measurement and evaluation, in accordance with modern statistical methods and advanced scientific techniques, consistent with the strategic plan of the College of Education and Arts and the university's strategic plan.

Program Objectives

To achieve the program's mission, the following objectives are pursued:

1. Providing students with the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of measurement and evaluation.
2. Preparing specialized competencies in the field of measurement and evaluation that keep pace with scientific developments in the labor market.
3. Developing students' research skills in the field of measurement and evaluation and their ability to identify contemporary problems, evaluate them, and provide appropriate scientific solutions according to modern methods of measurement and evaluation.
4. Training students to employ the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of measurement and evaluation through training in local community institutions.
5. Developing awareness of the importance of participating in community service to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development through research and training programs in the field of measurement and evaluation.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Be a graduate of the College of Education with a minimum overall grade of "good" from a specialization in psychology, special education, or a scientific educational branch (mathematics, physics, computer science, statistics, chemistry, biology).
2. Pass the University's Student Ability Test.
3. Pass the written measurement and evaluation test conducted by the department.
4. For non-educational studies, the applicant must study a complementary course determined by the department.
5. Meet any additional requirements set by the university.
