Sports Management Program

Overview

The University of Business and Technology (UBT) is the first to offer a Sports Management program taught in English in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This program will help to equip future leaders with foundational skills in management, marketing, accounting, finance, and governance for the sports industry. The program will empower students with the required leadership, operational, and analytical skills to pursue a career in this industry. The curriculum is therefore aligned with those aspects of Saudi Vision 2030 that relate to sport.


Vision

  1. To provide a core curriculum that will enable students to acquire the knowledge, skills, and disposition that are specific to sports management.
  2. To facilitate the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills throughout the curriculum, specifically in the field of sports management.
  3. To display an understanding of the role and impact of growing and changing technologies on the sport experiences of individuals and communities, and on the delivery of sports management services.
  4. To facilitate the development of effective and persuasive communication skills, both verbal and written, for leadership roles across various professional settings, as well as fostering the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and organizations in the field of sports management.
  5. To develop an appreciation of how sports management can promote equity and social justice at the global, national, regional, and local levels.

Mission

To prepare graduates to contribute to society through the provision of a high-quality, market-driven undergraduate program in the field of sports management with a business orientation, thereby producing future leaders and entrepreneurs.
