Program Overview

The program in question is the Scientific Publishing Support Program in High Impact Journals, aimed at encouraging faculty members to excel in publishing reference research and increasing the number of citations for researchers affiliated with Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University.

Objectives

• To motivate faculty members to achieve excellence in publishing reference research.
• To contribute to an increase in the number of reference citations for researchers from Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University.

Support Amount

• The support amount depends on the evaluation of the proposal's quality, objectives, and targeted outcomes.
• The support amount can reach up to 25,000 riyals for a single published scientific paper, according to the program's terms and conditions.
• The total support amount is based on available budgets and the volume of submitted requests that meet the conditions and approved expenditure plans.

Project Duration

The project duration is one year.

Controls and Conditions

1. The principal researcher must be a faculty member at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University.
2. The research must be of the Review Article type, according to the Scopus database or the Web of Science database.
3. The research field must be within the national research priorities.
4. The research proposal or any part of it must not have been previously published or supported by any entity inside or outside the university.
5. The principal researcher of the proposal must be the first researcher or correspondent in all project outcomes.
6. Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University must be the sole reference affiliation for all researchers from within the university.
7. All research outcomes from the project must acknowledge Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University as the sole funder of the project.
8. Publication must be in one of the scientific journals classified within the first and second quarters in Scopus or the Web of Science database.
9. A higher weight is assigned to research published in journals classified in the first quarter of the databases, and to research where the percentage of university researchers is 50% or more.
10. The project will not be closed, and financial entitlements will not be disbursed until the research appears with an acknowledgement of the university in the Scopus or Web of Science database.

Submission Mechanism

The research proposal is submitted through the scientific research system.

Submission Period

Until 15/09/2025.

Project Closure

A copy of the research outcomes is sent to the email of the concerned committee according to the specialization.
