Master of Science in Renewable Energy Engineering

The Master of Science in Renewable Energy Engineering program operates under the joint supervision of the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering at the College of Engineering, Qassim University.


Description

The program offers a master's degree in renewable energy engineering and accepts holders of a bachelor's degree in mechanical and electrical engineering or its equivalent from Saudi or other universities. The curriculum contains courses in addition to a research thesis, and the total hours of study are 30 hours, divided into 24 hours for courses and 6 hours for the thesis.


Program Structure

  • The degree takes two academic years, with the first three semesters devoted to courses and the thesis starting in the third semester.
  • The program is flexible, allowing graduates to choose a set of courses focusing on one or more types of renewable energy and energy conservation.

Eligibility and Admission

  • Eligible applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • For students with a bachelor's degree in electricity or mechanics from a technical college, admission requires passing all supplementary courses approved by the scientific department.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.75 out of 5.00 or 2.75 out of 4.00 or 80 out of 100 in the Electrical or Mechanical specialization in the Bachelor of Technical College is required.
  • Tuition fees for the program are 40,000.
