Master of Science in Computer Engineering Program

The Master of Science in Computer Engineering program at Qassim University is an important part of the university's commitment to academic excellence and the promotion of scientific research, in line with its vision, mission, and strategic objectives. Since its inception, the program has sought to meet the Kingdom's needs for specialized competencies, in addition to supporting national development through the graduation of qualified cadres possessing advanced technical skills.

The study plan covers a wide range of basic and advanced topics in computer engineering with an emphasis on combining theoretical and applied aspects to qualify students to keep pace with the rapid developments in this field. In addition to academic education, the program pays great attention to scientific research, encouraging students to carry out innovative research projects that contribute to solving modern technical challenges and enhancing knowledge production.


Eligibility and Admission

  • Eligible applicants must have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • Admission from outside the major is possible on the condition of passing supplementary courses approved by the scientific department.
  • The required GPA for admission is at least 5, with a preference mechanism for admission based on GPA (50%) and Undergraduate Aptitude Test (50%).

Program Structure

  • The total number of credit hours required for graduation is 34, with 33 credits required for the thesis track and 34 credits for the research project track.
