Program Overview
The Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) program is designed to produce competent, professional, and compassionate doctors. The program consists of 206 credited hours, spanning seven years, and is taught in English.
Program Structure
The program is divided into four stages:
- The Foundation Year: Focuses on establishing a strong foundation in English language skills and basic sciences.
- The Basic Medical Sciences Stage (two and a half years): Aims to build a solid understanding of medical sciences.
- The Clinical Stage (two and a half years): Focuses on teaching students about diseases, patients, diagnosis, and treatment through clinical courses.
- The Internship Stage (one year): Provides practical experience in hospitals.

Admission Requirements
The general requirements for admission include:
- Holding a secondary school certificate (scientific section) from Saudi Arabia or its equivalent, with a maximum of five years since graduation.
- Having a General Aptitude Test certificate from the National Center for Measurement.
- Having a Academic Achievement Test from the National Center for Measurement and Evaluation.
- A minimum equivalent percentage of 90% is required for admission, calculated as follows: (30% from secondary school percentage + 40% from General Aptitude Test + 30% from Academic Achievement Test).
- Not being dismissed from any other university for disciplinary reasons.
- Priority is given to students with higher grades if the number of applicants exceeds available seats.
- The graduation date from secondary school should not exceed two years at the time of application.
- An English language proficiency test (IELTS) is required.
- A personal interview conducted by the college is mandatory.
- A medical examination is required, and the applicant must have received the MMR vaccine.
Admission Criteria
Admission is based on academic merit according to the following criteria:
- Secondary school certificate (scientific section) or its equivalent: 30%
- General Aptitude Test: 40%
- Academic Achievement Test: 30%
- Personal interview: must be passed
Tuition Fees
The program is free of charge.
Additional Requirements
Before starting the MBBS program, all students must study the common first year. After completing this stage, the student is allowed to transfer to the first year of the MBBS program according to the following conditions:
- Achieving a minimum of 4.5 in the English language proficiency test (IELTS).
- Achieving a cumulative average of no less than 4.5 out of 5.
- Not failing any course from the common first-year courses.
