The College of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion offers a program in the field of Sunnah and its sciences. The program objectives are:

• To meet the community's need for specialists in Sunnah and its sciences who are capable of distinguishing between authentic and weak hadiths.
• To develop the skills of program graduates in highlighting the importance of Sunnah and defending it, and responding to doubts raised about it in a methodical and scientific manner.
• To provide program graduates with skills to serve the community in the field of scientific and research consultations in Sunnah and its sciences.
• To enable researchers to prepare original scientific research in the field of Sunnah and its sciences.

Knowledge and Understanding

• Define the approaches of imams in studying the weaknesses of hadith.
• Describe the approaches of scholars in explaining the hadith, criticism, and authentication.
• Describe the approaches of scholars in research and manuscript authentication.

Skills

• Study hadith narrations according to the rules considered by hadith scholars and theologians.
• Respond to contemporary doubts raised about the two authentic hadith collections in a methodical manner.
• Write a scientific thesis according to the recognized research methods.
