Program Overview

The Bachelor's program in Electrical Engineering is one of six departments in the College of Engineering at King Khalid University, offering a distinguished academic program leading to a "Bachelor of Electrical Engineering" degree. This program is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education since 05/08/1426 AH and spans five years, divided into ten academic levels.

Program Structure

The first two levels are considered preparatory years, where students are grounded in basic scientific subjects before moving on to specialized courses in electrical engineering.

The program aims to achieve several objectives, including:

• Serving the industrial community by providing engineering solutions based on scientific foundations
• Transferring advanced engineering knowledge to the local community and developing qualified national cadres
• Preparing students to conduct specialized scientific research in the field of electrical engineering
• Preparing distinguished electrical engineers in various fields, such as:
  • Electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution of power, and renewable energy
  • Design and analysis of wireless and optical communication systems
  • Development of electronic circuits, smart systems, and robots
  • Design of integrated systems and specialized software
