Health Information Systems Program

The Health Information Systems program prepares graduates for a multidisciplinary profession that relies on computing and public health disciplines. This profession focuses specifically on basic and advanced computing technologies that serve in managing and processing health data in a way that helps healthcare providers serve patients safely and effectively.

The program will prepare students to become specialists in health information technology ready to work in information technology for healthcare service providers such as hospitals.

Academic Accreditation

The Health Information Systems program has obtained the following international accreditations:


  • Full accreditation from the International Accreditation Agency for Degree Programs (ASIIN) for the program, from June 18, 2021 until September 30, 2026.
  • Full international accreditation by Euro-Inf through EQANIE (European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education), from December 9, 2022 until September 30, 2026.
