Course Description
This course teaches students the technologies used for developing static and dynamic Web content using a combination of client and server-side web programs with an emphasis on web technologies: HTML5, JavaScript Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), and PHP. Students will develop Web pages using various technologies and make them publicly available online. The course also covers the process of validating forms, building interactive web sites, managing web databases, and publishing web sites to a web server. Additionally, it presents common web attacks such as Cross Site Scripting and SQL injection, and discusses security and authentication techniques used in web applications. The course consists of 2 hours of lecture and 2 hours of lab per week, and is part of the Secure Software Development Concentration (SSD).
