Department of Hydrographic Surveying

The Department of Hydrographic Surveying at the Faculty of Marine Studies, King Abdulaziz University, is a specialized department in the field of hydrographic surveying, which is a branch of applied sciences focused on measuring and describing the physical characteristics of navigable parts of the Earth's surface and associated coastal areas, with an emphasis on their use in navigation.

Program Overview

The department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Hydrographic Surveying, and the program has been designed to comply with the university's regulations and the requirements of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) for Category A level, according to the latest S-10 edition of 2010.
