Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Program Structure

• The Higher National Certificate (HNC) is a Level 4 qualification with 120 credits, usually studied full-time for one year.
• The Higher National Diploma (HND) is a Level 4 and Level 5 qualification with 240 credits, studied full-time for two years.
• Total Guided Learning (GL) in Higher National Certificate (HNC): 480 hours
• Total Guided Learning (GL) in Higher National Diploma (HND): 960 hours
• Total Qualification Time (TQT) in Higher National Certificate (HNC): 1,200 hours
• Total Qualification Time (TQT) in Higher National Diploma (HND): 2,400 hours

Entry Requirements

• Students should have either A to C grade and/or 9 to 4 in GCSE Maths (or equivalent).
• Students who complete BTEC Level 3 qualification in Engineering.
• A GCE Advanced Level profile demonstrating strong performance in a relevant subject, supported by GCSE grades at A* to C and/or 9 to 4.
• Any other Level 3 qualifications related to the course.
• Higher Education Diploma awarded by an approved education institution.
• Related work experience.

• Develop skills for finding faults and problem-solving in a timely and professional manner.
