Bachelor of Arts in Security and Strategic Studies

The Bachelor of Arts in Security and Strategic Studies is a comprehensive program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the field of security and strategic studies.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:

1. Identify and illustrate the concepts and principles of security and strategic studies.
2. Interpret and apply practices and theoretical approaches to disaster, crisis, emergency, and risk management.
3. Develop and implement planning methods and processes for disaster, crisis, emergency, and risk management.
4. Examine and assess national and global affairs in security and strategy.
5. Identify and appraise the interdisciplinary implications of existing and future security threats and challenges.

Admission Requirements

For admission to the program, students must meet the requirements set by the university.

Graduation Requirements

To graduate, students must:

• Earn a minimum CGPA of 2.00 on a scale of 4.00.
• Successfully complete all courses as described in the study plan.
• Meet the degree completion requirements within the timeframe of the program.
• Transfer students must earn a minimum of 50% of the course credits for the program at the university.

Enrollment

Students can join the program at the beginning of any semester. The academic calendar includes:

• Fall Semester: minimum 3 courses (9 credit hours), maximum 6 courses (18 credit hours)
• Spring Semester: minimum 3 courses (9 credit hours), maximum 6 courses (18 credit hours)
• Summer Semester: minimum 3 courses (9 credit hours)
