Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE)
The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) program prepares professionals in an environment that combines electrical engineering practice and technical research to contribute to the growing body of electrical engineering knowledge, research, and development. The competitive nature of the industry in the UAE and the Gulf region requires engineers with high technical skills for identifying, analyzing, evaluating, designing, and managing electrical engineering projects. Furthermore, practicing engineers wish to enhance their knowledge in technical areas and pursue higher education without traveling abroad. The MSEE Program at AUS is dedicated to meeting such requirements and aspirations.
Program Description
The MSEE program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in electrical engineering, covering a wide range of topics, including electrical engineering practice and technical research.
Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the MSEE program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Official university transcript(s) and official graduation certificate
- Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) score of 80 or Institutional Paper-based TOEFL score of 550 or IELTS Academic version score of 6.5 overall or EmSat Achieve English score of 1550 (if available at the time of applying)
- Colored passport scan (including residence visa scan for UAE residents)
- Colored UAE national ID (for UAE nationals and residents)
- Up-to-date CV
- Two reference letters
- Other documents might be required based on specific program requirements
Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of AED 450 plus 5% VAT is required.
Certificate of Equivalency
Applicants who earned their undergraduate degrees from universities outside the UAE must present a Certificate of Equivalency or a Qualification Recognition Report (QRR).
Assistantships and Work-Study Opportunities
AUS offers graduate applicants assistantships and work-study opportunities. To apply for a graduate assistantship, new students must submit the following:
- Online application
- Two Reference letters
- Engineering applicants who have submitted two Reference letters need not submit two more letters for assistantship applications.
