IELTS Course Description
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) measures the language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as a language of communication. It uses a nine-band scale to clearly identify levels of proficiency, from non-user (band score 1) through to expert (band score 9).
Types of IELTS Tests
There are two types of IELTS tests:
- IELTS Academic Training: For people applying for higher education or professional registration in an English-speaking environment.
- IELTS General Training: For those who are going to English-speaking countries for secondary education, work experience, or training programs.
IELTS Exam Format
The IELTS exam format includes:
- Listening: 30 minutes plus 10 minutes extra to transfer answers to the answer sheet.
- Reading: 60 minutes, with three reading passages and tasks.
- Writing: 60 minutes, with two writing tasks.
- Speaking: Face-to-face interview, including short questions and a structured discussion.
