Bachelor of Science (Information Technology)

The Bachelor of Science (Information Technology) program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in the rapidly evolving information and communications technology industry.


Course Overview

In the first year, students develop their programming skills and study the fundamental theoretical knowledge of computing, including topics such as C++, Java, Linux, and object-oriented programming. From the second year, students specialize in the Information Technology stream, learning the technological and applied aspects of computing with less emphasis on theory. The program covers system programming, software design and engineering, networking, artificial intelligence for decision support, and graphics.

Accreditation

Application Requirements

  • Indicative cut-off scores:
    • GCE A-Levels: 5 points (minimum 2 subjects)
    • IB: 24 points
    • India: CBSE/ICSE 60% HSC 65%
  • English language requirements: IELTS overall band score of 6.0, with a minimum of 6.0 in each band.
  • Mathematics is essential, and calculus is desirable.
