Bachelor of Science (Information Technology)

The Bachelor of Science (Information Technology) program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in the rapidly evolving information and communications technology industry.

Course Overview

In the first year, students develop their programming skills and study the fundamental theoretical knowledge of computing, including topics such as C++, Java, Linux, and object-oriented programming. From the second year, students specialize in the Information Technology stream, learning the technological and applied aspects of computing with less emphasis on theory. The program covers system programming, software design and engineering, networking, artificial intelligence for decision support, and graphics.

Accreditation

The Bachelor of Science Information Technology program at Curtin Dubai is accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the UAE Ministry of Education and licensed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).

Application Requirements

• Indicative cut-off scores:
  • GCE A-Levels: 5 points (minimum 2 subjects)
  • IB: 24 points
  • India: CBSE/ICSE 60% HSC 65%
• English language requirements: IELTS overall band score of 6.0, with a minimum of 6.0 in each band.
• Mathematics is essential, and calculus is desirable.

Course Duration

The Bachelor of Science Information Technology is a 3-year program when taken in a standard semester model as a full-time student and 6 years when taken part-time on the semester model.

Fees

• January 2026 intake tuition fees: AED 56,700 (full-time)
• September 2026 intake tuition fees: AED 60,900 (full-time)
• All tuition fees are inclusive of VAT.
