Program Details

Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Applied Mechanical Engineering

This is a one-year top-up program delivered in full-time mode, designed to "top up" students' existing vocational qualifications to a bachelor's degree. The program covers topics such as mechanical systems modeling, mechanical applications, control and instrumentation, project management, and mechanical industry and professional studies.

• Duration: A minimum of one academic year delivered in full-time mode.
• Mode of Delivery: Full-time, semester-based.

What to Expect

Practical Experience

Students will not only learn comprehensive theory but will also gain practical experience in well-equipped laboratories and workshops, as well as hands-on experience in a real workplace environment through on-job training and internships where applicable.

• Postgraduate Certificate in Mechanical Engineering: Covers topics such as stress analysis, structural mechanics, solar thermal energy, and refrigeration. Duration: 8 months, Part-time.
• BEng (Hons) Avionics Technology: Explores electronic systems used on modern aircraft, such as autopilot, navigation, communication, and flight instruments. Duration: 3 years, Full-time.
• BEng (Hons) Aerospace Technology: Explores the regime of flights, including how flying vehicles are designed, powered, operated, controlled, and maintained. Duration: 3 years, Full-time.
