In-Service Postgraduate Diploma in Education: EDUPD6007 - Practice Development Placement 1, 2, and 3- PGDE

Course Description

This course is designed to provide high-quality professional teaching and learning experiences for students with increased opportunities to reflect on practice, plan and implement innovations in classroom teaching, learning, and assessment, and evaluate the effectiveness of pedagogic innovations in different classroom contexts. Students will reflect on and evaluate the effectiveness of their practice and draw on a range of evidence to support their evaluative conclusions in collaboration with their College academic advisors.


Course Structure

The course spans 33 weeks of school-based Practice Development Placement across two semesters. Students will be introduced to a range of innovative, evidence-based pedagogies, classroom management strategies, curriculum development, and assessment practices and policies relevant to a variety of school settings.
