Level 4 Award in Assessment (Vocational Setting)

Overview

This qualification is intended for those who assess vocational skills, knowledge, and understanding in a vocational setting, such as a classroom, workshop, or training environment. The holder of this qualification will understand the current landscape of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector, including the importance of contributing to the quality assurance processes of assessment and continuous professional development. They will also be able to select the appropriate assessment method to suit given criteria, create, test, and critically review assessment instruments and tools. The holder will also be able to carry out and make assessment decisions in a vocational setting.

Accreditation

This qualification is endorsed by the National Qualifications Authority (NQA) in the UAE and approved by Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET).

Pre-requisites

• QF Level 3 or above qualification or award in an occupational discipline (or equivalent) related to the field of claimed competence.
• Relevant work experience.
• Access to assess learners in a vocational setting.
