Program Overview

Introduction to the Ethraa Emiratisation Programme

The Emirates Institute of Finance has announced the launch of Cohort 3 of the "Ethraa" programme, set to begin in September 2024 and conclude by year-end. This phase of the programme is designed to train over 500 Emirati Talents who were recruited during the third and fourth "Ethraa" career fairs.


Programme Details

  • The programme aims to provide ongoing development opportunities for Emirati citizens in the financial sector.
  • Participants in Cohort 3 will engage in 21 specialised training pathways, covering areas such as:
    • Programming
    • Finance and accounting
    • Cybersecurity
    • Information security
    • Data engineering and analytics
    • Auditing
    • Financial technology (FinTech)
    • IT infrastructure and networking
    • Human resources
    • Product management
    • Investment
    • Project management
    • Underwriting
    • Claims

Programme Objectives

The "Ethraa" programme has successfully met its 2024 target, recruiting over 900 Emirati citizens into the banking and financial sector. The career fairs organised by the Emirates Institute of Finance have been instrumental in providing high-quality job opportunities for Emirati youth.


Expected Outcomes

The programme aims to cultivate a new generation of leaders in the financial sector, equipped to meet future challenges. Upon securing employment in the financial sector, participants will embark on professional careers that offer ongoing development opportunities.


Programme Structure

  • A second group, consisting of 400 Emirati talents, is scheduled to begin their training in January of the following year.
  • The programme is supported by the wise leadership and the Central Bank, with the Assistant Governor for Banking Operations and Support Services inaugurating the ceremony.
