Program Details

Make Your Own Skirt

This 5-day course teaches participants how to make a skirt in real fabric.

• Morning and evening sessions are available
• The course is taught by a Master Pattern Maker
• Participants will learn how to:
  • Cut a sample skirt from an existing pattern
  • Cut muslin fabric as per the pattern
  • Mount and stitch the skirt sample
  • Control fitting on a Haute Couture ESMOD form and apply corrections
  • Cut real fabric and assemble skirt parts
  • Use a domestic and industrial sewing machine to stitch the final skirt
• Level: Beginner to intermediate
• Entry Conditions: None
• Supplies: Included except real fabric
• Assessment: Continuous assessment by the Pattern Making Master during the course
• Qualification: Certificate
• Terms of Payment: The course fee is inclusive of VAT (5%) and a non-refundable registration fee. Full course fee is payable upon registration. No refund of tuition fee in case of drop out. No catch-up sessions for missed classes.
