Fashion Styling Masterclass

Program Overview

The Fashion Styling Masterclass is a 2-month program that aims to provide students with the main constituents of fashion styling. The program is designed to help students develop their creative eye and own creative interpretation of seasonal trends in line with current lifestyles and moods.

Program Content

• Introduction to style: Definition of style, difference between fashion and style, elegance in fashion
• 7 fashion personalities and their corresponding styles: Natural, creative, modern, romantic, fashionista, sexy, classic
• History of style: Style silhouettes through modern fashion, from the 20's to the latest trends
• Building modern silhouettes: Modern silhouettes codes
• Understanding body shapes and how to dress them: Hourglass, pear, apple, rectangle
• Decoding dress codes: Black tie, cocktail, formal, garden party, red carpet, smart casual, casual
• Identifying trends and ideas: Concept, definition of colors, color wheel, trends, trend colors, sources of inspiration
• Working as a stylist: Roles and responsibilities, styling for editorial, fashion, advertising, e-commerce, commercial styling, styling for TV and movies
• Styling creative process: Developing your creative styling identity
• Garment alterations: Learn the basics of garment alteration
