Introduction to the Criminology Program

About the Criminology Major

The Criminology program is based on an evidence-based approach to solving crimes and is designed for students completing their degrees in other majors. The program focuses on critical and creative thinking, effective communication, and the reasonable usage of knowledge. Students will study various theories of crime, psychological aspects of criminal behavior, and environmental factors that can lead to crime. Faculty Profiles – Criminology

Dr. Magdalena Mosanya

Dr. Magdalena Mosanya is the Discipline Lead for Psychology and Criminology, as well as a Student Counsellor at Murdoch University Dubai. She holds a PhD in Psychology from the Institute of Psychology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, an MSc in Psychology from Middlesex University, and an MA in Cultural Anthropology and Communication from Silesian University. Her research interests include intercultural communication, the well-being of third culture kids (TCKs), sports psychology, and women's emancipation.
