The university program offers a range of courses and classes focused on acting and performance. The program is designed to develop acting skills through improvisation, devising scenes, and creating characters.

Program Details

Acting Overview

Drama classes are based on improvisation and general stagecraft. These lessons develop acting skills through devising scenes and creating characters. Some script work will be introduced. The student will be encouraged to explore text, develop characters, use the body as a form of expression, and interact with other members of the group.

Group Acting

• Discover your acting talent through improvisation, devising plays, and building characters.
• This group class explores the art of acting, with script work and the use of the body as a form of expression, and interacting with other members of the group.

Acting For Camera

• Explore your talents for on-screen acting through green screen work using a state-of-the-art green screen studio.
• This exciting element allows discovery and process-oriented work.
• All students will be given opportunities that will be shared amongst their peers and families.

Private LAMDA

• Private tutorials are offered in preparation for examinations from Entry level to Gold Medal in Acting and/or Speaking in Verse and Prose.
• The aim of LAMDA is to:
  • Improve standards in communication through the spoken word
  • Foster an appreciation of literature, poems, and drama
  • Acknowledge levels of achievement
  • Support the creative, intellectual, and social development of the individual
• Tutorial details:
  • Sessions are 30 minutes each
  • Price: AED 150 per class
  • No pay-as-you-go option is available fees are paid for the full term, like other classes
• LAMDA examinations are optional; however, students are encouraged to enter and benchmark their progress against an internationally applied standard in order to receive accredited certification for their efforts.
• Students need to complete Term 1 and Term 2 in order to be eligible for exam registration.
• Examination fees are not included in term class fees.
