Introduction to the Medical Student Research Committee
The Medical Student Research Committee (MSRC) at the University of Sharjah's College of Medicine was established in the academic year 2020/2021 to support medical student research activities. The committee aims to provide a platform for faculty members and students interested in medical research, focusing on basic and clinical research skills.
Definition and Purpose
The MSRC is a subcommittee that works in conjunction with the Medical Student Association's (MSA) Scientific Committee. The main body consists of a chair, five faculty members, and two student representatives. The committee's primary goal is to organize various research activities, provide a suitable environment for medical research, and enable students to conduct effective medical research.
Vision and Objectives
The MSRC's vision is to empower students in medical research, focusing on basic and clinical skills. The committee's objectives include:
- Establishing a platform for scientific relationships between faculty members and students.
