The Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education program is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to teach and care for young children from birth to age 8.
Program Overview
The program is offered by the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Sharjah University. It consists of 123 credit hours, which can be completed in 4 years. The program is taught in Arabic and is available on a full-time basis.
Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum high school grade of 70% (Elite Track), 80% (General Track), or 75% (Advanced Track)
- Pass the EMSAT exam in Arabic, English, and mathematics
- Not have been dismissed from Sharjah University or any other university for academic or disciplinary reasons
- Not have completed high school more than 3 years prior to applying to the university

- To understand the stages of child development and the unique characteristics of each stage.
- To understand the role of art, music, and physical education in child development.
- To understand the concepts and knowledge related to children's literature and various educational activities.
- To understand the latest teaching strategies and assessment methods for early childhood education.
- To understand the basics of nutrition, health, and first aid for young children.
- To understand the problems faced by children and the differences between normal children and those with special needs.
- To understand the principles of prevention and psychological assessment for early childhood education.
- To acquire the skills necessary to conduct educational research in early childhood education.
- To acquire the knowledge and concepts related to teaching various subjects, including Arabic, mathematics, science, social studies, and Islamic education.
