Introduction to the Master's Program in Private Law

The College of Law at Sharjah University aims to achieve three dimensions through the Master's program in Private Law: knowledge, specialization, and research. The program focuses on providing students with legal knowledge, skills, and research expertise in the field of private law, enabling them to contribute to the development of legal systems and the community.

Program Objectives

The Master's program in Private Law aims to:

• Develop students' capabilities in research methods and scientific approaches in various fields of law.
• Enhance research and knowledge in all branches of law, particularly in private law.
• Meet the needs of the community in the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries by graduating qualified and specialized legal researchers.
• Enable distinguished students to pursue their higher studies locally.
• Provide universities, ministries, and public and private institutions with specialized legal elements capable of following scientific and technological developments.

Program Requirements

The Master's program in Private Law is offered with a thesis track only. The program requires students to complete 33 credited hours, including:

• 18 credited hours of compulsory courses.
• 6 credited hours of elective courses.
• 9 credited hours of thesis work.
