Introduction
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Sharjah University has developed a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering program that will equip graduates to face the challenges of the information technology revolution with confidence and prepare them for rewarding careers by providing them with advanced knowledge and skills.
Program Objectives
The general objective of the Master of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering program is to enhance the academic and professional knowledge of students. The program also aims to provide students with in-depth knowledge in their field of specialization. The specific objectives of the program are:
- To provide graduate students with the advanced knowledge and skills necessary to solve technically oriented research problems in electrical and electronic engineering.
- To provide graduate students with a deep understanding of the theories and vision necessary to enhance their professional lives and/or pursue higher education and lifelong learning.
- To meet the future needs of research and development for various industries and institutions in the United Arab Emirates and the region as a whole.
- To promote a spirit of leadership with a focus on academic study and professional ethics.
Program Requirements
To obtain a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, a student must complete 33 credited hours, divided as follows:
- 9 hours of compulsory requirements
- 15 hours of elective requirements (5 courses from a set of 37 courses)
- 9 hours of Master's thesis
