Program Overview


Introduction to the Master of Science in Biotechnology Program

The Master of Science in Biotechnology program at Sharjah University is designed to equip graduates with advanced knowledge and skills in biotechnology, enabling them to address current and future challenges in the field with confidence. The program is offered by the Department of Applied Life Sciences and is tailored to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of various scientific disciplines, including cellular biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, human genetics, cell genetics, microbiology, and immunology.

The Master of Science in Biotechnology program aims to achieve the following objectives:

Program Requirements

The Department of Applied Life Sciences has obtained initial academic accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the Master of Science in Biotechnology program. The program offers a research track that meets the needs of students oriented towards research, allowing them to dedicate sufficient time to complete a high-quality research thesis. The program consists of 25 credited hours for compulsory and elective courses, in addition to 9 credited hours for the research thesis.
