Program Overview


Introduction to the KU Co-op Program

The KU Co-op Program is designed to integrate practical work experience into students' academic careers, fostering early industry engagement and skills development. This program aims to provide students with valuable real-world experience and industry insights, supporting technological progress and sustainable development.


Program Structure and Timeline

The KU Co-op Program consists of two paid work terms, each lasting 26 weeks. The first Co-op term starts after completing six academic semesters, scheduled during the summer and fall semesters. The second Co-op term begins after completing the eighth semester, scheduled during the spring and summer semesters.


Eligibility and Requirements

To participate in the KU Co-op Program, students must:


  • Complete a minimum of 75 credits (including 15 major credits) by the end of the fall semester preceding the Co-op.
  • Have a minimum CGPA of 3.25.
  • Complete the career preparation course (GENS 300) before the first Co-op and GENS 400 before the second Co-op.
