University Program Information

The RAK Medical & Health Sciences University offers various programs, including the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at the RAK College of Dental Sciences.


Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Program

The BDS program is a 5-year program that follows the guidelines set by the Ministry of Education (MoE) as per the Reforming Dentistry Programs decree issued on March 11, 2021. All courses in the BDS program are taught in English.

Clinical Simulation and Training

The program includes clinical simulation (preclinical) hours, with a total of 450 contact hours, and clinical practicum patient-facing clinical hours, with a total of 2,212 contact hours.


Accreditation and Recognition

The RAK Medical & Health Sciences University is accredited by the Ministry of Education, UAE, and recognized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The College of Pharmacy at RAKMHSU has obtained dual national and international accreditation for its Bachelor of Pharmacy program from the American Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA).
