Program Overview

The RAK College of Dental Sciences (RAKCODS) offers a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program. The program has a total of 201 credit hours, including 82.58% applied courses, 450 contact hours for preclinical training, and 2212 contact hours for clinical training.


Graduation Requirements

To be eligible for graduation, students must satisfy the following requirements:


  • Satisfactorily complete all academic requirements as per the BDS curriculum
  • Obtain pass grades in all courses of the program with a minimum CGPA of 2.00
  • Meet all financial obligations to the University within the specified time

The BDS program is structured over five years, with each year divided into semesters.


First Year

All programs at RAKMHSU are accredited by the Ministry of Education, UAE, and recognized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
