PhD in Information Systems
The PhD in Information Systems at New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business is a multidisciplinary field that is growing in importance as the information technology revolution transforms the scale of data, the nature of products, the organization of work, and the way people interact.
Academics
The program educates and trains scholars who will produce first-rate IS research and who will succeed as faculty members in first-rate universities. The Stern IS department has played an active leadership role in defining the fields of data science and business analytics, engaging in cross-disciplinary scholarship in computer science, economics, machine learning, marketing, management science, and urban science.

Program Details

Please note that Information Systems will not be admitting PhD or Pre-doctoral students for the Fall 2026 matriculation cycle.
