High School Programs

The Tisch School of the Arts offers high school programs that provide students with college-level artistic training in New York City and online. These intensive and enriching courses are taught by Tisch undergraduate faculty.


J-Term/Spring/Summer

Visiting students and non-majors are invited to take classes during January Term, Spring at Tisch, and Summer. Students can earn credits towards their major or minor, build their résumé with an internship, or take classes to change careers.


Tisch Pro/Online

Tisch Pro/Online courses are non-credit
on-degree courses that provide professional training in various artistic industries. Students can build their creative skillset with an online course or join classes in New York City.


Study Abroad

The Tisch School of the Arts offers study abroad programs that allow students to experience the world in a whole new way. These short-term and semester-long programs are specially designed to draw on the artistic strengths of global partners and incorporate the rich history, techniques, and traditions of each country.


Special Programs

The Office of Special Programs at Tisch School of the Arts provides access to the arts for students, whether they are NYU or visiting college students, high school students, or working professionals. The office offers introductory exposure to the performing or cinematic arts and advanced-level training to grow students' craft.


Student Affairs

The Tisch Office of Student Affairs comprises 20 professionals who provide students with the support they need to find meaningful community and success as artists and scholars during their time at Tisch and beyond.


Research

The Initiative supports and highlights research in all modalities, present and imagined, encouraging curiosity, investigation, and entrepreneurism through advocacy, grant planning, mentorship, and funding opportunities. The Center for Research & Study gathers three departments at Tisch that focus on the study and creation of theory, history, critical thinking, and social analysis of live performance and screen-based art.


Modern Screenwriting

Modern Screenwriting is a non-credit online course that provides an in-depth exploration of the skills and techniques needed to craft compelling stories for film, television, animation, and interactive media. The course includes five online course modules and related skill-building activities, and students receive a certificate of completion from NYU and Yellowbrick at the end of the course.
