Program Overview

The GPH-GU 9130 Global Health Diplomacy program is based in Washington, DC, USA, and is led by Dr. Peter Navario. This course explores the ways in which global health is influenced by, and can influence, other global forces including foreign policy, trade/economic policy, environmental policy, and security policy in a globalizing world.

Description

The program delves into the geopolitical forces that shape global health, including the global disease burden and our collective response to it. Effective responses to current and future global health challenges require that public health professionals understand these dynamics and how best to leverage them in order to achieve better health outcomes globally.

  • Pre-requisites: None
    • Eligibility: Open to all concentrations with approval from Adviser and/or Department Chair
