Program Overview

The Emotional Awareness Skills Enhancement (EASE) program is a five-week peer-led course that focuses on teaching students about the mind-body connection. This course aims to help students develop skills in centering themselves somatically, increasing self-awareness of their interoception, and utilizing these skills for emotional regulation.


Course Objectives

The EASE program is designed to:


  • Teach students about the mind-body connection
  • Help students develop somatic centering skills
  • Increase self-awareness of interoception
  • Utilize skills for emotional regulation
    • Build a dedicated practice with peers
    • Sample different evidence-based mindfulness techniques to determine the most effective technique for each student
