About the Program
Our program is designed to prepare the next generation of compassionate and skilled nursing leaders. We offer multiple entry pathways to help you achieve your career goals, whether you are just starting your journey, hold a degree in another field, or are a registered nurse with a diploma degree looking to advance your education.
- High School Students: This four-year, 120-credit-hour entry pathway program is designed for students entering directly from high school.
- Second Bachelor's Degree (Non-Nursing background): An accelerated path for individuals who already hold a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing field, such as EMS, Radiology, Pharmacology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, etc. This pathway consists of 105 credits over six semesters.
- Registered Nurses: A bridging program for registered nurses with a diploma or associate's degree. This pathway allows you to earn your BSN by completing 60 credits over four semesters.
A Future-Focused Curriculum
The curriculum prepares students for the future of nursing. The curriculum is designed with a forward-thinking mindset, including courses like Innovation in Health Science & Digital Health, Resilience in the Health Profession, Health System Science, and Introduction to Research & Evidence-Based Practice. This is purposely done to go beyond basic skills to prepare leaders who can navigate the complexities of a tech-driven healthcare system and be ready for the future advancements of healthcare.

Admissions Criteria
High School Students
- UAE Secondary School Certificate:
- Elite Track – 75%
- Advanced Track – 75%
- General Track – 85%
- A Level (British Curriculum):
- A minimum grade of C at A level
- A minimum of six IGCSE/GCSE subjects are required, of which three should be science subjects
- IGCSE/GCSE science subjects must have a minimum grade of C or 4
- American Diploma:
- Overall average of 75% or a cGPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4 or equivalent
- An average of 75% in at least three science subjects (e.g., biology, mathematics, physics, chemistry)
- IB Diploma:
- 24 points, excluding any bonus points
- Must complete three science subjects of which one of the Science subjects should be at High Level (grade 4)
- CBSE/ICSE (Indian Curriculum):
- Overall average of 65%
- An average of 65% in three science subjects
- SABIS:
- Overall Average 65%
- An average of 65% in the top three science subjects
Registered Nurses (RN-BSN)
- Nursing Education: Attested Associate degree/Diploma in Nursing with a minimum duration of two years from an accredited School of Nursing with 70% aggregate or its equivalent in cGPA.
- Clinical Experience:
- Valid nursing license to practice nursing in the country of residence.
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience if applicable
Second Degree (Non-Nursing) Bachelor's Degree
- Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in a non-nursing discipline from an accredited institution.
- Minimum cGPA: Minimum cGPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent in the previous degree.
- Personal Statement or Essay: A written statement explaining the candidate's motivation for pursuing a second-degree BSN, career goals, and how their background aligns with nursing.
English Proficiency
- IELTS: Minimum of band 5
- TOEFL: iBT 61
- Native English speakers are exempt from the English proficiency requirement if the language of instruction for their high school studies was English.
Transfer Admission Policy
MBRU does not accept transfer of admissions, transfer credit, or recognition of prior learning due to the uniqueness and integrated nature of the curriculum offered.

Registered Nurse (RN–BSN) Entry Option

Second Degree (Non-Nursing) Bachelor's Degree Entry Option
