Program Overview
Program Summary
The examination for International Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP[INT]) complies with the principles of Good Medical Practice and The Code of Medical Ethics. The examination is a credit accumulation examination, available twice a year, and held each Spring and Autumn. After completing the exam, candidates will obtain certification and become RCGP International Members.
About the Program
The examination was re-accredited after a visit in November 2022 by the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP). The exam is a rigorous and comprehensive assessment of knowledge, skills, and competencies as a general practitioner.

MBBS Candidates
Candidates must either:
- Have completed a recent, continuous 3-year experience as a GP (unsupervised) in a primary care setting.
- If under the Residency Program of Family Medicine, have a minimum of 3 years full-time (or the equivalent part-time) as an independent primary care practitioner in a primary care setting. Candidates must be active primary care practitioners at the time of their application.

The online application form is the official means to request enrollment. All fields must be carefully filled as per the guides provided. Inaccuracies may lead to disqualification of the application. Applicants are advised to:
- Read the entire application form before filling in any details
- Follow specific guides in the filling box
- Have the following documents scanned in color and ready to upload in PDF format:
- Recent colored photo (with white background in high-resolution format)
- Valid passport copy
- Emirates ID Card front (if applicable)
- Emirates ID Card back (if applicable)

- Curriculum Vitae
- Qualification (TOR and Diploma)
Timeline
- Autumn Exam (October 2025)
- March 03, 2025: Opening of registration
- September 19, 2025: Closing date for the receipt of applications
- October 22, 2025: Written Paper Module Exam (MEQ)
- October 23, 2025: Applied Knowledge Test (AKT)
- October 25, 2025: Consulting and Clinical Skills Assessment Module (CCSA)
Exam Fees
- Exam Fees for each module: 5,000 AED + 250 AED (5% VAT)
Refund Policy: Withdrawals/Postponing
Candidates may withdraw their application for examination, but their examination entry fees will be abated as follows:
- 25% will be deducted from the full payment if the application is withdrawn more than 4 weeks before the date of the exam.
- 50% will be deducted from the full payment if the application is withdrawn between 2 to 4 weeks before the date of the exam.
- 75% will be deducted from the full payment if the application is withdrawn between 1 to 2 weeks before the date of the exam.
- The full payment (100%) will be forfeited if the application is withdrawn less than 1 week prior to the date of the exam.
