Basics of Web Programming

The Basics of Web Programming course provides an introduction to the technological background and various techniques of the web. The course covers the central components of modern web pages, including HTTP protocol, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and DOM.

• There are no ECTS credits or certificates awarded for this course.

Organisational Details

• The course takes place on Wednesdays from 14-16 Uhr at Amalienstr. 17, CIP-Pool.
• The course introduces web programming using exercise sheets, providing an insight into the technological background and techniques of the web.
• The course starts with the basics of HTTP protocol and covers the central components of modern web pages, including XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and DOM.
• No prior knowledge is required to participate in the course.
• During the course, a new task is published every week, which is then solved together in the next week's session.
• The exercise sheets include literature references that allow students to work on the tasks independently.
