Program Overview


Program Overview

The User Experience program at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the interaction between users and products. The program covers various aspects of user experience, including ergonomics, usability, product identification, psychological needs, and interaction aesthetics.


Program Structure

The program consists of a lecture series, tutorials, and exams. The lecture series, titled UX2, conveys subject matters including:

Course Content

The course content may differ from previous semesters due to a new lecturer. Students who attended the class in the previous winter or summer semester are recommended to attend the lecture again.


Rules for Online Teaching

While the university is closed, most teaching happens online. Students are asked to be forgiving if things do not work perfectly and to participate constructively. Some rules apply:


  • In live meetings, students are asked to responsibly deal with audio and bandwidth.
  • Recording or redirecting streams by participants is not allowed.
  • Distributing content in other channels than those foreseen by the author is not allowed.
  • Violating these rules may result in expulsion from the course and further action.
