Overview

The Design Workshop 1 is a course offered by the Department for Informatics, with Prof. Wiethoff and Dr. Karin Guminski as lecturers. Beat Rossmy is responsible for organizational questions. The event "Medienkunst - neue k𤦂stlerische Ausdrucksformen im digitalen Zeitalter" is offered by the Institute for Art Education at LMU and recognized as Design Workshop 1 for Master's students in the MCI program. Guest lecturers this year include Tamiko Thiel (media artist, AR), Astrid Kahmke (Bavarian Film Center, VR), and Daniel Botz (computer demo scene). Admission to this practical course is allocated through central registration via LSF.


Contents

The lecture course is suitable for students of Media Informatics (Master) with a focus on Human-Computer-Interaction.


Exam (Grundlagen Industrial Design)

The contents of the lecture are individually examined in the Industrial Design module with a written exam. The group work (exercise) is assessed through a short presentation on the group work and a brief written documentation of the slides. Both performances together are worth 6 ECTS credits. A partial exam alone cannot be recognized.
