Open Games Workshop

Overview

The Open Games Workshop is a university program designed for Master's students in Media Informatics and Computer Science. The program focuses on the design and development of computer games in small groups.

Contents

In this workshop, students will design and develop a computer game in small groups. The program involves creating a game concept, developing a playable prototype, and maintaining a game design document throughout the project. The final deliverables include:


  • A functioning game prototype
  • A complete game design document
  • A final presentation and demonstration of the game

The lecture course is suitable for:


  • Students of Media Informatics (Master)
  • Students of Computer Science (Master) The course is intended for Master's students and can only be credited to the Master's degree. Bachelor students have the possibility to attend the course and collect ECTS credits for the Master's program in advance.

Registration

Applications are made through central application facilities on Uni2Work. The number of participants is limited to 20 students, with a waiting list for further participants. Bachelor students can only participate if the place is not already occupied by a Master's student.
