The Disputationsseminar Bachelor is a forum where Bachelor students present their final theses. The seminar is led by Prof. Hußmann and Prof. Butz, with Simon Stusak as the supervisor.

Content

The Disputationsseminar Bachelor is where Bachelor students give their final thesis presentations. All interested students are invited to attend the seminar. Regular attendance is especially recommended for those working on their Bachelor theses.

Presentation Length for Student Presentations

• Final presentation of Bachelor thesis: 15 minutes presentation + 10 minutes discussion
• Final presentation of project work: 15 minutes presentation + 10 minutes discussion Note: The presentation time is exact and not approximate. It is recommended to practice the presentation with the supervisor beforehand to get a feel for the timing.

Order of Presentations

The order of presentations is determined before the start of the seminar based on various criteria. The order on the website only shows when the presentations were registered.

Request for Presentation Date

To request a presentation date, please send an email with the following information: Name, Proposed date, Supervisor, and Title of the presentation/thesis. Due to lower demand in the previous semester, dates marked as "Überlauftermin" can only be booked when the adjacent dates are already full.

Presentation during Semester Break

No presentations take place during the semester break. However, in the case of Bachelor theses, it is possible to apply for a Master's program and postpone enrollment by one semester. This allows students to continue studying as Bachelor students and give their Disputationsvortrag at the beginning of the next semester.
